These controls are built using vector graphics, allowing for highly scalable de-ployment without degrading the visual appearance in any way. The trending tools in Status allow you to display both historical and real-time data. This highly customizable graph includes valuable features like the ability to zoom in/zoom out to arbitrary ranges and view specific sections of the data history. Status also includes a number of other graphing tools like pie charts and bar graphs to give you a variety of choices for your trending and graphing needs.
User Friendly Point and Click Interface
Status was designed with the users experience in mind and requires little training in order to begin using effectively. By removing hassles such as the need for complex scripting or intensive configuration setups that are commonly associated with designing and developing HMI and SCADA screens, the user friendly point and click interface in Status allows you to work more efficiently and save time.
Eliminate Deployment Issues
Status can be used to display data from any OPC data source and can also be extended to display data from other sources. Unlike traditional HMI and SCADA solutions, Status can eliminate the problems associated with DCOM configurations, firewall security settings, and other limitations imposed by network infrastructures with the help of Status Server. Status Server utilizes a web service to transport data from the data source to the Status Designer for consumption by the screens and is not hindered by these issues that normally cause problems when trying to expose data across a network.
Create Custom Calculations
Using the Calculation Engine, Status Server can convert values that are being sent from the data source to ac-comodate special needs. Calculations are exposed as a data tag and can be used in data bindings the same way other data tags are. Choose from many of the predefined calculations provided or even create your own custom calculations to provide even more flexibility.
Advanced Alarming and Events
With the ability to create custom alarms or event, you have total control over when you are notified of any anomalies that may occur in your systems. These alarms and events are highly configurable, allowing you to have them trigger on virtually any scenario. Additionally, any alert that arises can be optionally sent as an SMS or email to ensure that you’re notified while out of the office or travelling.
Robust Logging Tools
Status Server logging allows you to pick and choose which data items you want to log. Logs are stored into a SQL database and can be retrieved for review via the trend control or a report from Microsoft Excel. Logs can also be exported to a .CSV format by using the reporting service in the managment console. The logging tools also give you the ability to choose how values get logged, either in time intervals of your choice or when the values are updated.
