Mitsubishi Compact PLC Melsec FX3U ini seri baru dan merupakan generasi ketiga dari Compact PLC Mitsubishi Elektrik dengan berbagai perbaikan.
Dikembangkan untuk pasar international, dengan fitur control terbaru dan sistem “adapter bus” yang melengkapi sistem bus yang ada digunakan untuk ekspansi, fungsi khusus dan modul jaringan.Sampai sepuluh modul tambahan dapat di hubungkan ke adaptor bus baru.
Kontroller FX3U ini sangat mengesankan dengan kecepatannya mengolah instruksi 0.065μs per instruksi logis. secara significan lebih besar satu set intruksi dengan total 209 instruksi, dan fungsi perbaikan dan modul, terutama positioning tasks. Perbaikan lainnya termasuk peningkatan kemampuan koneksi/komunikasi dengn ethernet, USB dan RS-442 mini DIN konektor.
Networking Support ditingkatkan, meningkatkan kapasitas I/O dari model flagship baru, yang sekarang dapat diperluas maksimal 384 I/O, termasuk koneksi jaringan.
